Students can benefit from technology

Technology has made our lives easier for our convenience. Technologies such as computers, cell phones, and iPod are the things we benefit from.

A majority of students can now take advantage of the internet for their educational needs, social networking sites, or simply paying bills online.

The two learning management systems Blackboard and Desire 2 Learn are tools to access course documents, class lectures and assignments, grade book. No longer do we have to keep track of endless papers or ask about our current grade. We can just log into Blackboard and Desire 2 Learn to find our answers.

Social networking sites like Myspace and Facebook are websites used by many students where they correspond with each other and people worldwide. Online expenditures are also available to pay for car insurance for an example like Geico, and telephone bills such as T-mobile, which can be paid online. Rather than having to go through the process of writing a check, mailing and hoping you have enough in your account compared to previous generation we are spoiled.

For example, computers are being widely used for business purposes and schools. For instance cell phones transition from pagers to cell phone. Pagers are no longer to be in contact with people. Cell phone is much preferred for communication. Cell phone features allow students to converse with each other in different ways from text message, internet.

iPod is another trend to students where you can find every other student's ear plugs set in their ears. Students' find the iPod as an entertainment, which an iPod offers movies, music videos, add pictures, songs and play games. In contrast to the MP3 player, iPods are much improved, so thanks to Apple Inc. we can nod our heads to our favorite songs.

Things are getting simpler for us by the minute. New technologies have been made or introduce to the public every year and it has given us the privileges to our lives. Technology such as computers, cell phones, and iPod certainly has made our lives simple placing us at an advantage.
